ABOUT THIS FACILITATOR

Aja's healing journey started at the age of six with the onset of daily chronic migraines, which spanned over 20 years. After growing up subject to Western medicine, she hit rock bottom in college and made the choice to embark on a personal healing journey that took her around the world and into many different alternative modalities. After healing the migraines she has continued to facilitate breathwork for the past six years. She most resonates with styles that are gentle, subtle, and restorative. She also weaves in the medicine of loving touch, Reiki, abdominal massage, song, and plant wisdom.

Aja is passionate about supporting others to trust in their own wisdom and to remember what it means to awaken to the true nature of reality. The nourishing container she holds is one of freedom, presence, and allowance of what is. She is passionate about an ever evolving philosophy of ‘Sacred Rest’. This deep rest occurs on all levels of our being, and allows any false narratives and identities to fall away, where we can truly ‘rest’ into beingness.

She feels most alive being surrounded by beauty, mostly through nature, ceremony, and co-created music.

MY JOURNEY

My healing journey started early in High School, after being deep in Western medicine since the age of 6 for chronic migraines. This journey brought me to many amazing alternative modalities, and eventually led me to India where I discovered Rebirthing Breathwork. During a month long training in Thailand, the daily migraines I had been enduring for 22 years started to dissipate. This was the beginning of my life-long passion for Breathwork. After learning different breathwork styles from many teachers, I have come to understand the power of ‘allowing’ the breath instead of forcing it, and what happens when we trust in the intelligence within Prana. After many years of my own healing journey, I deeply resonate with an approach that is gentle, subtle, and receptive. I am always humbled by the power and purity of nature, and love to work with plant spirits for deep spiritual healing.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME

I absolutely love learning about the breath and the magic of our human bodies. My interests are rooted in the path of womb shamanism and the ancient feminine lineages. I feel that our deepest wisdom is accessed through our bodies, and our connection to the Earth is what supports us in this unlimited potential. I have learned through my own challenges that pain is the body's way of communicating messages that are a doorway into our own awakening. My journey keeps coming back to the center of my being, the belly, and continues to reveal the great mysteries held there.
